UKCA Documentation


UKCA component

The UKCA component to the Unified Model comprises chemistry and aerosol modules. A brief description is available.

Further details of the UKCA components with reference to the UM User Interface (UMUI) will be made available upon release of the model.

Nudging

The model can be run in nudged mode, where it is constrained using meteorological analyses, in order to reproduce the climatic conditions on a particular day (see Telford et al, 2008). A description of how to use the nudged model can be found here.
